Looking Into the Darkness
As I sit here awake at night
I just don't know
I'm looking out the window
into the darkness, there is nothing in sight
I can't help but think of you as our song plays on the radio
But why? it was all so long ago
Was it something I said or something I did?
Why can't I just let go?
We were supposed to last forever
While we had times that I will always remember
Now we are no longer together
Will we ever truly be over
The sun starts to rise
Waking in the morning
Leaving another night behind
But with me the darkness remains
Can I ever hope for the sun to shine?
