Looking Forward To Going Home

7 March 2020 7:37 Pm

My eye lids are heavy and laden with dew
I sit here alone with my life in review

Reliving moments that I wish would have last
And moments that I wish had never come to pass

Age takes a toll on the body
Like old work clothes all warn and shody

I will stop from my work and shed them and rest
When I awake at the trumpet call I will be adorned in His best

I will bow before Him my blessed saviour with excitment uncontained
While I listen to the angels sing as Christ welcome home proclaims

Though this life is hard and the trials are many
It is short and only temporary

Life with our Father will be forever secure
No sorrow no pain only Love and peace forever more
