Looking For God In All the Wrong Faces

Looking for God in all the wrong faces,
Can take you to all the wrong places
And cause you to to make the wrong choices,
As the wrong message disrupts your senses.

A face with god behind it,
Will not ask you to hurt others,
And black deeds will not be a
Condition of acceptance.

Any offer of a pedestal in this world
Is sign that Love and Hope do not dwell
Behind that face
So don't bestow your faith there
Or you will be going down in the lift,
Instead of up the staircase.

Love those last two lines! I also remind myself as the bible says: to be wise as a serpent and harmless as a dove.

Food for thoughts...but I think human beings wholly need to revisit their actions from past to present...history is painted with the so many playing GOD in the name of poor God. Why can't we accept things and beings as nature made them..this is the great question! Well penned :)

Thank you and you are right. Still feeling inspired in my writing. Seem to be in the groove. I am doing all my new stuff in one take. Fondest regards David

you tell 'em, David! I could not agree more and pray that someone who needs this message finds it, absorbs it and lives it. I enjoyed your wording and, obviously, the content ... CayCay

Thank you. I am randomly getting these at moment. I must have an open channel because I feel compelled to drop everything and go on line. In the past I used to have to do about three rewrites but since being on soup all my new stuff I type cold. Thanks again for taking time to read. Regards David in NZ
