Looking Back
Through the years
You look back
And realize
How very few people
Loved you
Unconditionally
The fact is
So few are
Even capable of it
And as we age
Though many become
Crusty and stale
Others choose to be
Mellow and warm
How beautiful to see
People being kind freely
With their childlike smile
Dispensing happiness
Like Halloween candy
Unconditionally
