Looking and Walking In the Countryside

Peace like a river comes alongside
when into the countryside you venture
there you find nature fully at large
makes one enjoy the whole adventure

This pastime makes you truly content
when you walk in the forests green
surrounded by shadows under trees
the views stupendous what you've seen

Thank God for two legs and two feet
so to wander through all glorious bright
such a sight blessed eyes to look upon
countryside to glow whether day or night

Look upwards to who created all this
cry out in thankfulness to his masterstroke
bringing this all out of absolutely nothing
by the speaking of a word it all awoke

How many days have any got left?
no matter what, appreciate what you've got
take in the beauty of what one sees
divinely given to be your awesome lot

G'day Gordon … there is nothing more pleasant than bushwalking, especially once you learn how to take in the intricate things. Nicely written again - Lindsay

Thanks, David, Glad you were impressed and reminded you of the beauty of nature. Hope things well in Canada, I've got a brother in law in Owen Sound though never been to your beautiful country. It's late evening here in Scotland, Gordon
