Look Up

As the pale moonlight
Reflects upon the sorrowful
Churning sea
It is hope that springs
Forth for the weary soul
For above the despair
The vast array
Of unfortunate events
Exists a light
Whereby guiding
Any who wander
To a welcomed world
One of chances
Of brightness
Of love

Even as the moonlight
Is to diminish
The radiant glow
Of the rising sun
Sets forth new light
Upon despair

Look then, not down
But look up
Smile in knowing
That there exists
Many lights
Pulling us as hands
Into many new
And glorious
tomorrows
