Look Twice Before Opening Your Door

Around the festive Holidays thieves
constantly prowl those wealthy and safe neighborhoods
with sickening and menacing looks:
snatching Christmas decorations,
even breaking into quite houses,
not guarded by a dog that can fend off stealthy crooks!

Exchange greetings with the UPS guy who has a busy day,
he makes sure the parcel is delivered in a timely manner;
trust him, he works hard around the clock,
never disappointing anyone with a minimal delay:
all the enthusiasm and the effort seem to matter!
Other people may come around and knock:
challenge them when they give away free magazines...
their scope is to convert you to their unfounded beliefs!

Look twice before opening your door to anybody,
use caution in spotting a stranger who looks shady;
you can be badly hurt or even be a statistic like others:
safeguard your precious life by trusting your instincts!
