I look so stern
Because I'm close to the heart
Here in my mothers arms
I hold on
Such a serious look
I do impart
Yet I too do hold on

I listen as I clench and hold

A mother's love
Never ends as long as she holds
Spirit to flesh
Flesh to flesh
Nurturing comes
From the tender fingers, hands and arms
The body and soul of mother
I hold...
