Look For Something To Admire

"In everyday look for something to admire,
And if hard pressed just go and acquire

A little bit of happiness,
For the shops are filled with lovely gifts

Window shopping can be fun,
And your wallet is full of money when your done

It may not have the material satisfaction,
 Or a designer bags reaction

But it gives you the chance to dream,
Of wearing all those pretty things it seems

You don’t have to carry all those heavy bags,
Or take scissors to cut of the tags

All the nice things are in your head,
And not in your closet instead.

So let it be said happiness is your own making,
It’s not at the mall for taking

So then it’s better to embrace the day,
And find happiness your own way

Not to buy it off a rack,
Or take something home in a sack

Just look around and appreciate life’s gifts,
Including your hearts up lift

That goodness resides in you,
And happiness, it’s true

You need to look to farther than inside,
To know that’s were God resides.

"All the nice things are in your head, And not in your closet instead." How did you know that my PRETTIEST things stay in my closet, never to be taken out at all? Wise poem! Profoundly wise!

That is one of the nice things about getting old... you stop shopping.I bought a pair pf pants two years ago. I know I'm not really helping the economy but I appreciate what I have and take care of it. More money for charity. Have a great day.
