Look Closer
As I drove down the drive and out onto the road
I never felt so alive knowing that nothing was owed
And looking towards His sky with barely a hint of light
What had caught my eye was truly a beautiful sight
It was a slice of the moon but such a tiny thin slice
As above His stars were strewn, oh how beauty does entice
But I could only see a little bit, but certainly knew in my mind
For it doesn't take much wit for in looking, the rest you shall find
And so I see a bit of God's Glory, as the moon was just a part
But in looking closer at His story I sense the same in my heart
So to you I must insist that just as the rest of the moon was there
Your Creator is in your midst and even if you don't, He does care
And as I pondered just such the thought He set into my mind
So be it to you had you only sought that you too would find
For it is there for all to see and such a sight for all to behold
Though many still won't agree but at least you were told
