Look At Me

you see a beautiful girl
I see the life in this world
I look at myself and see hate
because I know its too late
the face you see is hidding me
you can't see the horror I have had to see
you can look and look
but you will never see the things it took
to be where I am
I have to say I can
just to get up in the morning
without mourning
over who I wanted to be
how I wanted to be
this is who I am
can you handle the way I am
a tough woman
a different kind of human
I'm easy to please
and I try hard to please
im looking for love
that God above
doesnt want to give me
so help me see
what there is in life for me
