Look Around

The world is a beautiful place if you know where to look.

The wonder on a child’s face or even an adults at their first trip to the zoo.

Looking through the lens of a telescope and seeing the craters on the moon.

Pulling out the most beautiful creation from the oven when you try a new recipe.

The hug from a friend you haven’t seen in a while
.
The look on your love’s face as you’re leaning in for a kiss.

Your reflection in the mirror when you realize you are one of those beautiful things too.

Nice. Just right. I am 71 and six years out of cancer so look around as never before. Glad you did not keep adding. Hard when writing to know when you adding more makes the poem less of a hit. Perfect ending too. i feel the passion in your writing. All the best David in NZ

Thank you so very much. I am so glad that you have the cancer behind you and so much ahead of you. I try to keep my poems short and sweet, but I do like to ramble at times.

Thank you! I try to write poems with Psalms 139:14 in mind in hopes others realize how much they are loved and were created for wonderful things. 14I thank you, God, for making me so mysteriously complex! Everything you do is marvelously breathtaking. It simply amazes me to think about it! How thoroughly you know me, Lord! The Passion Translation
