Longing For Father's Love

I am not a father
nor I am a mother
I am just a daughter
that is growing better...

Father, you have been away
I truly wish you have stayed
Hugging me as I lay
I don't need much penny...

All I have been missing
is you my daddy
Your love and your real company...

Look, how I am now
I pursued my little vow
Hoping always, You'll be proud
It's alright if you'll not be loud...

All I want is for us to bond...

Yes, I am neither a kid nor a child
Ever anymore
But still, there is that longing
I cannot deny...

I miss you much, daddy...

We find ourselves LONGING FOR FATHER'S LOVE...Congrat. I remember an aged person (about 85) crying because his father passed away. Then , in postmodern world , the only real consolation rests in ”Our Father who art in heaven...”

Heart wrenching, yet hopeful. It's hard sometimes. We make decisions that impact the ones we love. I can't imagine a parent that doesn't love and miss their children. Perhaps you'll connect again one day.

A delicate poem. Simple but profound. In the longing is a lot of poetry. Obvious. Our sweetest songs are those that tell of saddest thought.

With three dots at the end, the longing continues. Father. Love. Life and all that lies in between

I have seen couples separate for the strangest reasons and then justify it. But the effects on their children can last a lifetime. The imagery in this poem for that longing is very good. The child in us always looking for our parents approval and love.

The very thought of him was exhilarating. Bonding is a natural and biological certainty. Longing for a father daughter bonding may get you into a feeling that there is a void in your life which you are trying to fill. A true feeling inscribed with this heartfelt and endearing poem. Love reading this, Olive and congratulations. (^_^) Noel.

You need to go through this to know it. You have. I have. My Dad left when I was only 5 years old and he died in 1977 without passing on his love to me. Great write. God Bless. D.

Very tender pleading. It is difficult to pour in the emotions and still make it sound poetic but the balance here is spot on. As a father I love my three daughters like life itself, even when they are being a little thoughtless. I lost contact with one for a few years but we found each other again and repaired and reinvested I hope the person in your poem does the same. Kind regards, Ian

The craving of a child,a kid and later a maiden for the warmth, love and affection of her father who is apparently away from he for some reason are brought out quite emotively in these lines. I liked this poem
