Longing
I long for the place I used to be
That felt like home, serenity
Where colored skies hugged the hill
Beauty from God's pail did spill
Where cozy woodstove fires burned,
while snowflakes fell outside
Wildlife friends didn't want to hide
The seasons brought gifts abound
I remember every sight and sound
Now, I long to return...
to a place I lost, for where I yearn
