Notes About The Poem

Longevity Contest, 5/29/2026, Sara Kendrick

May our poems fly into the right hands. May the words take off, in season. May they not be lost in translation. May they be kept, as precious, by our future generations.

Longevity SK

Feather pen fluttering, ink spilling grandmotherly perspective.
Circumspect of future generations; the Jetsons in flight.
Drones may carry the message, but hands-off to AI robots.

The message I got from this poem is that we must continue to write our own works since AI is starting to take over creativity. Great work.

Ah indeed! I too wish for the essence of my poems to be continued and remain as pure as it originally is. Because handcrafted emotions are the most divine! This is such a compelling write, makes me think! A fun fact, my mum too used to write poetry, but has stopped as of now..ah, maybe I got that from her. What a pleasure it is to be reading you again, my dear Kim, have missed this place. Sending you best wishes for the contest! Love n light!

Thank you, Hiya! Found out that my grandpa wrote poetry. They were given to me…I treasure them. Mostly romantic to my grandma, but one was particularly fascinating. Hugs

From feather pens came stanzas worth preservation; from AI spews abomination. ~ Just sayin'

Yep, remarkable how much we morph into our parents and grandparents...speedy age of dynamic changes...would be nice if at least one of them could be for the better:)) Great write. Thank you.
