Longevity and Mortality
LONGEVITY AND MORTALITY
As she sat by the park
Pondering, delving, rummaging
Noting her expedition of 59 summers
She knew the caravan moves on
There is no turning back no matter what!
Echoing the past
Of vibrant smiles and rosy cheeks
Of boundless energy
Of youthfulness, and
Of countless dreams.
Along with the caravan
Are immeasurable hopes and faiths
Multitude of countless mementos.
Devoid of material possessions
Yet, few regrets.
As she sat by the park
Dissecting longevity and mortality
She realized the truth of life and death!
And, the priceless joy of living life at its fullest!
