Long Have I Yearned

Long have I yearned for you.
The feel of your arms around me.
You bodies heat seeping into mine.
It is a thirst that will not be quenched.
To have you for just one night,
that it might slake my fevered need,
I fear would be as putting oil on a fire.

Read Kahlil Gibrans poem on love, it is on the net. He would say let it burn you up, and make you something more.
