Long Distance

The closer that you are to me,
The farther you appear;
The week we shared seems like a day,
The month apart—a year

I wish the coming days could pass
As quickly as I fell for you,
That dream-like night we met again,
When in my heart I somehow knew

I hope the next few weeks will fly,
And melt away like winter snow,
So we can share our love this spring,
And in the summer watch it grow.
