Long-Legged Journey
The mountains loom ahead
And shake me to my core
My body is so tired
My spirit weak and sore
Do you hear me call?
I rage into the night
No rest for the weary
I doze at morning light
I want to roll that boulder
Up the hill once more
I'm all tussled and tugged
From those dreams that I tore
I really need your strength
For my legs cannot budge
I'd go a little faster
But I'm treading through sludge
Lead me back to the path
Through the briar and the thicket
Does my journey continue?
Then guess I'll buy a ticket
