There is a site on the net called Lonely Tweets, where there is a continual update of lonely people tweeting lonely stuff. This poem attempts to reflect these thoughts.

I always feel empty, but I now know my role, To be invisible, here, out of sight, My purpose in life is to sit in this crowd, This crowd of colour, where I am the white, And these hugs that I have, ready to go, By the end of the day they are thrown, Into the bin, with my smile, and my grin, And I sit in my home all alone, Where I scan through these thousands of “friends” that I have , And see all the happy they each post, To remind myself that I’m always alone, I’m the saddest invisible ghost, I feel lonely, I feel sad, I feel pretty well worthless, My joy has been all condemned, I don’t want to live a solitary life, But for that I need to have friends.

I understand the invisible life, that screams out loud, however, I also understand the harmonizing screams of the tweets that we yearn for. It is a not always what it seems, they also yearn for the dream. I loved your poem immensely!
