Lonely Road

Lonely Road

Lonely road up ahead
for me on a sunny winter day
It’s so hard to forget

Even though the music might have
changed I think of memories in misery

It makes little difference that the pets
are in my car nor that the music is playing
although it helps a little that I can talk to them
sadness is inside me

Wish I could go back to the way it was
before she up and left so selfishly
and maybe she would reconsider-
One location did not work out
so now it is back on the lonely road
