Lonely Rainy Day

As the rain falls
My broken heart calls
Like glass, I shatter into shards
Tumbling down like a pile of cards
Why did I have to let down my walls?

The cold sends shivers down my spine
I wish I was made of a different design
My tears merge with the sky’s mirroring pain
How I wish I wasn’t alone on this rainy day

Above clouds thunder
Why do I always blunder?
Such sorrow I carry within my heart
I wish we didn’t have to be apart
Where you are, I always wonder
How I wish I wasn’t alone on this rainy day
