Lonely Minds

These strange and lonely times
In the worlds of lonely minds
Where the sun and the moon time blends into one
Where the pain of breathing lingers on

The walls close in on you
The world tells you what you must do
Feel obliged to live your life
Because some other wants to prove that they’re right.

Loneliness lives in our minds.
Everybody’s story has different lines
Some crave the quiet and the peace
Some want acceptance outside their enemy

We look at each other but we don’t see
Behind that strangers face are feelings no one else on earth can feel
Because our paths and history are not the same
Some will smile where some feel pain

We are all different, we are all unique
Some will love quite happily
Some will float on life’s easy breeze
Some will beg for life on their knees

I don’t know you, you don’t know me.
Isn’t that the beauty of humanity?
That I could help you or you one day could help me
Without a payment, without a fee

Or do we carry on the same
Someone’s profit = someone’s pain
Is our nature never going to change
Is the inhumanity of humanity the human game.
