Lonely

All around me, moving, talking
The whispers reach me, but fall on deaf ears
I just keep on walking forwards
But I'm moving into my fears

They just don't understand me
My problems, my doubts
Lie awake waiting during nighttime
For my social life to sprout

I can step into the limelight
Show off, hang out
But behind those cold, closed walls
I can't keep the loneliness out

They love me, they hate me
My world torn apart
Then laying broken off to the side,
My cold, lifeless heart

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.

I think the angst is usually impermanent; take heart! Or, exalt in the air and darkness whistling though your soul - I like your poems.

This is such a poetic picture of the fear created by anxiety and the feeling of being alone, not mattering. This was well expressed.

This entry is so very sad and expressive. Pain somehow always makes fine poetry. May the words in the entry be creativity and not true to life. Well Done
