Loneliness, My Closest Friend

Loneliness
It’s not always bad
Sometimes it hurts
Sometimes it’s sad

Loneliness
My closest friend
calls me so often
I wish it would end

Loneliness
There are times that I like you
When I can focus on myself
Where I can stay true

But loneliness
Who am I kidding
I let you in often
...
Too often
...
Everyday

Loneliness
I have things I yearn to do
People I want to meet
Places I have to see

Loneliness
Would it be okay
If just for today
You leave me be

I have to admit that this is way to familiar that is not really the best way to live. I hope you find your way to escape.
