Lone Wolf Gives Up

my wax self is melting
into the oak slats
which never held me up any way

the ones i did not
attend to never understanding
that this day would come

depleted now i give myself
up gladly wondering what will
remain

nothing i used wisely
for i took care of nothing
and no one

which is why
it does not matter any way
i am a lone wolf

flesh and bone
without a soul
i give myself up gladly

a very interesting one, my friend. I too picture myself as a bit of a lone wolf. I sure do love my alone time, as I know you do too.

I LOVE my alone time; I thrive on it, and I live for it. I am so GOOD at entertaining myself it is crazy!

To tell you the truth, every lone wolf is glad to give himself up. Alas, nobody gives a sheet & pillow about it. So, rise from the ashes and fight like crazy, wolfy! P.S.: I bet Gershon would approve my words)

I am sure he would. I give myself up gladly, some days, serving myself up on a plate.

Wonderful images conjured up in this write, a perfect lone wolf, but, I see you as giving of yourself your whole life! Hugs Caren, Jennifer.

I am such a lone wolf until I am ready to be with a bunch of my friends, then I become PARTY wolf.
