Notes About The Poem

Ring Neck Doves..love their cooing, even in the strangest times of night (currently housing).

Lone Dove Cries

Lone Dove Cries

riding on a chariot
of chocolate doves
merging in the ring of candy love
life was blue skies
at first
you brought me joy
and
apple pies to work
slices that we shared
of each others life
ambrosia tasted good
food for thought
never tasted so well
savoring every word
from your sweet lips
dancing on my tongue
oh how I wished
oh how I wished
there were more blue skies
and discoveries
of pink horizons
oh how wished
the storm clouds
didn't show it's ugly face
raining on our hopes
on our chariots
of chocolate doves
now broken, saddened
tearful eyes reined
for
a lone dove stutters and cries
