Lone Dog Soldier

His life was madness ... and then it stopped. Air so thick in weight of night, to be drafted, wars' jungle so casually dropped, lone dog soldier on duty in plight. Air so thick in weight of night. Silence screams, each step follows next, lone dog soldier on duty in plight, patriots duty decried, mind vexed. Silence screams, each step follows next. Protests, flags burn, men flee induction, patriots duty decried, mind vexed, rockets fill night in thunderous destruction. Protests, flags burn, men flee induction. To be drafted, wars' jungle so casually dropped, rockets fill night in thunderous destruction, his life was madness … and then it stopped. Robert Gene Stoner Jr © 6/27/17 Form: Pantoum
