Locked Within
Locked within these prison walls,
no judge or jury within these halls.
My mind is bound,
I know not why,
I'm not sure why I even cry.
What you say I'll soon forget,
The words I use, they start to drip...
upon the floor, no sense they make.
My sentences no longer straight.
I look at one thing...yet say another,
I no longer feel like I'm the mother.
Where did I go? I often ask.
Why am I lost behind this mask?
Will I return? This is my fear,
I wish my mixed up brain would clear!
