Locked Memories

Unlock the box, where is the key? I want to remember the treasures of the past. What my child's heart, held dear. Wipe the dust away I could paint a portrait here Where did the child's heart go? Regain the days and joy. Regain the simplicity of days forgotten Hold my hand, help the memories flow. For Mawmaw, who lost her precious memories to alzheimers disease.

Very touching, daughter. It was a long slow process from in her mid-50's until 93. An awful slow way to die. Keep writing. Mom

How sad that your mother has lost memories, treasures of her youth. My heart goes out to her and my admiration extends to you for writing such a moving dedication. Genuinely moving. God bless both of you. Love, Carolyn
