Loaded

the act of imagination
which some Jesus says is sin
gives the mind rejuvenation
we do it again and again

this power to entertain ourselves
with creative thoughts
allows us to become the things
we are often not

some wish to be the king
that rules the whole wide world
some they wish to be the hero
and save that certain girl

some wish for fame and fortune
not realizing the real cost
some wish for evil desires
for which theirs souls are lost

some wish with there eyes
the beauty God has created
lofty mountain grandure or
feminine eyes painted

ears that lust the words of men
to speak like they were gods
to have the power of revolution
and inspire every mans heart

but thoughts are immaterial
and some being vain are lost
but some having some value
imagination adds up the cost

and causes being good or evil
must be acted upon
do we need pen and paper
or do we need a gun?

WOW! You just get better and better, John. What an insightful write. But please, let me have the pen and paper over the gun any day. Brilliant! Love, Carolyn

I think pen and paper would suffice. Keep the creative pen flowing. Sara
