Lizard - Pleiades L

Lazing on sun-baked rock
Leisurely flicks out tongue
Lithe critter scurries past
Lightning reflex triggered
Lethal toxins subdue
Loathsome maw rends soft flesh
Luckless prey digested

I've always been fascinated by the Komodo Dragon, which is the world's largest lizard.  They may appear slow and cumbersome, but their massive size belies their speed when presented with a potential meal!
