Living This Hell of Loving You

Put my lips to the bottle where yours just were
Knowing where they’d rather be
Thirty years of friendship and foreplay
Lost dreams and fantasies

I can promise that I’ll think of you tonight
And a million times today
I can’t escape from the truth
I’m living this hell of loving you

Who knew that heaven could ever
Also feel like hell
I’m living with regret and yes
I only blame myself

There’s the night I missed that goodbye kiss
But I was too scared of all I had to lose
Now only words are left to help confess
I’m living this hell of loving you

They can call me a fool for holding on
For such a long long time
But I can’t help to think that what we have
Is part of the grand design

It may not be the same for you
As it’s always been for me
I’m living this hell of loving you
Our lost dreams and fantasies

Who knew that heaven could ever
Also feel like hell
I’m living with regret and yes
I only blame myself

There’s the night I missed that goodbye kiss
But I was too scared of all I had to lose
Now only words are left to help confess
I’m living this hell of loving you

Only words are left to help confess
I’m living this hell of loving you
