Living the Blues
Images of the blues
on my TV screen
Nothing better than
seeing old B.B. King play
on his guitar named Lucille
Mick Jagger, Jeff Beck, Trombone Shorty
and other blues greats were present
When they performed it was like
living the blues
Everyone knows what the blues are
Something felt by young and old, rich and poor,
black, yellow, white and red
Hearing these performances
can ease a troubled soul
The President even sang the blues
If even the leader of the free world
sings the blues
Who are we to scoff?
Better we sing along
Feel blues power in the depths of our sould
That will help us survive!
