Living Sea

Living Sea
Taking breath
as ebb and flow of tides;
soft or crashing waves her beating pulse.
Gentle host; dancing explorers across her back;
swallowing undesired guests to her darkest depths.
Mother to exotic life unknown;
guarding her babes; she's our
living sea.

Dear Arlene, I love the way you make the sea a "mother" to exotic life. This is so true and your imagery is brilliant. Congratulations on your win! Love, Carolyn

you had some unique lines in this poem that I really liked, such as waves as the beating pulse of the sea and the middle two lines, both were so great to show contrast of good and bad with the sea. Congrats in my contest.
