Living Possessions
It's not that I miss you
You've been gone too long
Not that I'm still mourning
Though tears are still strong
Not that I stopped loving you
My love it stays the same
Not that I'm lonely
My comfort is your name
But if I could see you
My eyes would be whole
If I could hear you
To your voice my ears would belong
If I could reach you
With a satisfied touch
If my giving could greet you
And tell of my feelings so much
Sometimes I drift
In my immaginary land
Sitting beside you
Holding your hand
Singing a melody
And being your man
Give you things that are lock up
that only the living can have
