Author's Note: "Living One's Life," is a special Lyric verse that I wrote which touches on several aspects "life" and how many of us interact with it or may interact with it in our daily lives. "Human Perfection" is an ideal goal at best. Realistically, I have found that courage and compassion are certainly key attributes and qualities that help to define us as Human Beings, and help us as we seek our individual destinies and personal goals in life. Theme Categories: allegory, deep, destiny, emotions, god, life, and passion. Enjoy the poem!! Gary Bateman
Living One’s Life
With living one’s life—
so begins now all the temptations and
all the true mortal strife.
Knowing that what may come and what
each of us may face, may not be any fun,
if at all. After all, we are all mortal in the
end.
Never fear those freaky foolish foibles of
fate, for your future lies at eternity’s gate.
Be courageous and show real compassion,
for your life’s run is a most noble action.
Human perfection is such a worthy goal,
yet one’s true passion is the guiding rule.
As each of us seek out our own respective
destinies in this life, never forget that God
is always with us and observing us, as distant
from us, as He truly is.
Amen.
