Live Life To the Fullest

Going to bed earlier and earlier The older this old guy gets Soon won't need to get outta bed at all Just lie there and smoke cigarettes Hey hold on, my dear naughty fella Smoking's forbidden in bed Haven't you heard the hazard it creates Why not shoot yourself in the head Always wondered why old people napped It's not a matter of choice Could be watching a favourite show Then wake to Cathie's voice So now I know, there isn't anything else Have lived my life to the fullest Think I'll slink down and doze for a bit To hell with getting dressed! © Jack Ellison 2014

Hubby says I fall asleep every time I sit down. Hah! So does Dragon! With that blinged out blanky that he takes every where, He's always prepared too! Tho I've dosed off a few times this winter and woke up with Dragon and blanky keeping me warm. Hubby said Dragon thought I was cold! That's sweet, .If only my couch hadn't caught fire! Fortunately, he snores when he spits fire, and that always wakes me up. But It can be hard to get out from under a Dragon and ton of penguins tho... LOL...

My dearest friend, if we go to bed earlier and earlier is because we do not like to look at the world getting uglier and uglier, then again, we are the blessed ones for we have seen all! How many would never have the chance to go earlier to bed? Very mature and thoughtful poem, a good lesson for the young! Cheer up!
