Littlest Runaway
Runaway as fast as my feet trample
My breath is ragged
Arms tired of defense
To the wind
Feet aching like the pavement I hit
It hits back in my back pulling me back
Dragging me down just like my past
Runaway from lies and smiles that protect them
Tears leaking out of eyelids that blink in failure
I ran until the air made me bleed
I was just a runaway
Whose milk is still young
Soured like the bitterness of reality
Spit on the ground
Disgracing my sneakers
Patented leather
Of new ideas and delusions that make me
..................... RUN
..................AWAY
