Little Wee Mum
She is rarest of them all -
Me little wee mum, only four feet tall!
Strong but kind, firm yet fair;
Roses for her pretty hair!
Mum, she is very soft spoken;
Yet her rules are never broken.
I, the youngest of ten children
Am no stranger to her discipline.
None of we children is Mum taller than -
For Father's a very tall man!
When we're out together on holidays,
She often gets a dubious gaze.
Her smile is like the sunrise -
To light our morning skies!
Her laughter tinkles like a tiny bell.
Our cottage garden has such fragrant smell.
Mum is very dear to me;
Loveliest face ever I did see.
There lies her portrait upon the wall -
Me little wee mum, only four feet tall!
