Little Stars
Little Stars
Little stars up in the sky
Wish they could be bigger
Like the North Star they try
To shed more light with vigor.
Little flowers bloom in fields
Covered with quilts of dew
They twinkle, sparkle like little stars
While the stars wink at you.
Little stars in your eyes
Twinkle like diamonds of dew
Lighting up your midnight dreams
To pirouette through evening's blue.
Little one, safe in my arms,
I sing this lullaby
Of a little star that grows each day
Right before my eyes.
