Little Pigeon River

Little Pigeon River Little Pigeon River’s water lullaby, the flow’s soft percussion against mossy green rounded river rocks, multi-layered, contrapuntal, a faint hiss, tiny scrapings as small stones are settled into place by the cold current, my eyes heavy, sleep waiting nearby.

Very serene, I have a water feature outside my window and the sound of the water falling on the rocks is very soothing. I too love the ocean, we live close to lake Okanagan and it surfices as a surrogate ocean.

You're very fortunate. I live in the middle of a very hot and dry place (Oklahoma). I liked the river so much I'm considering buying a "sound machine" for the bedroom. Thanks for commenting... Jack

Whenever I find it hard to sleep, I imagine myself at the beach, surround with the sound of the waves. I am sure your beautiful melody will work just as well. Great write, Jack... David

Thanks for your reply, David. The river sound was better than a sedative. Like you, the ocean has a similar effect for me... Jack
