Little One

Little one
You curl up in my arms
You wrap around my heart
The warmest warmth
A mother could feel

I know you are not from me
But I am a part of you
And you of me
I am your umbrella
Against the rain that weathers you

How are you so small
With a heart
Bigger than the whole world
A lighthouse
To lost ships

My love belongs to you
Golden eyes
Not gilded, but pure
The most genuine softness
The sweetest soul
