Little Giant
he does not know that he is small
in his world, he's nine feet tall
the little black dog with the long tail
sees the world high is he's being held
over the fence, his eyes are trained
his ears perk up as he observes his domain
his little head moves side to side
nothing will escape his roaming eye
he knows where the neighbor's cat shies away
he knows the field kids like to play
he knows each pet in other yards
he's perched up high like a little czar
if i gently put him down
his fuzzy face wears a frown
he yaps and yelps jumping in the air
wanting me to raise him where his view is clear
i place him up in my arm and hand
he sees the world at his command
the little dog so proud and defiant
he thinks he's so big my little giant
