Little Do We Realize

The mind is a strange machine
It
can
play
    tricks on
us
   when we least
expect it to
The years have
not always been kind
to you and me, reader
   But with a little fortitude
       we will gain
insight
    into the
processes we
label thinking and dreaming
    Don't ask for much
and you will be given plenty
The world being what it is
We must find joy when we can

Absolutely loved the last four lines. This whole piece was so humble, and even the way you formatted it makes it all the more interesting. I love where your mind took you (indeed it is a strange machine... unpredictable to say the least!).

I so believe this and I think this way too, Matt. Tell me about your writing workshop class. I took one in poetry 13 years ago and it really helped me when I was starting out.
