Little Brown Mouse

Little brown mouse you came into my house but you weren't invited inside 
Then at night you sneak out to go scouting about and by day in my attic you hide 
Now that bodily waste that you drop every place, is something I just can't abide 
So I'm sorry to say but a trap I must lay, for a mouse in my house cannot stay

At our last house, that was built on cotton fields, we had mice. We haven't had them at this house built on desert sand. Maybe they don't like dust :)Your poem has beautiful rhyme and flow.

Hi Ann, Wow, neat that you had a house on cotton fields. Guess the cotton fields were also a great place where mice would love to live. We live in the country and I sometimes hear the mice in the walls. Mostly this is during the winter months. My cat Elle sits and stares at the walls when she hears them scurrying up and down Lol :-D So far we have only heard them inside the wall or attic. Cheers my friend :-)

I imagined a little mouse sharing the litter box with your cat. Cats are not easily ‘domesticated’. Better not to plan birthday parties for the little one too soon.

Oh I have a cat and her name is Elle. She is the sweetest most lovable little soul but she is not a mouser. Thanks for popping by to read my little brown mouse. FYI we use the catch and release traps. Much more humane.
