Little Blue Faithful

I felt a touch of beauty as I mused along memory lane.

It was a soothing lane that was void of
Any shame or pain.

I recalled that we never gave her a name,
Nor rendered to her any recognition of fame.

Faithful as the old gyser in Yellowstone,
She always brought us safely home.

Pleasant thoughts of her are very soothing,
Enamaled and satuated with sweet musings.
A navy blue vehicle always saying, "Yes I can".
She was an old and common little van
But performed like a giant of a man.

She was an answer to prayer, clear and free.
We needed more transportation, so clear to see.

Her engine always started and never faded.
She even took a load of kids more than 150
Miles to a Billy Graham Crusade.

Today, I shall call her, Little Blue Faithful, because
She was God's gift for which I am forever grateful.

Curtis...why do I find such great comfort in this little poem of yours? Perhaps because it so warmingly reliable and steadfast. What a great tribute! Nostalgic and greatly reassuring in a strangely endearing sort of way. Simply love it! :) john
