Little Blue Butterfly

Why so blue my little butterfly is it because you cannot fly have they closed the windows on you dimmed your pretty shades of blue? Why do you perch along the ledge have you lost your nature hedge Are you waiting for the sun's allege for it to cause a little open wedge? Why do they trap you inside like this and take you away from your magic abyss Do they not know that your wings are amiss when they shut the world on you like this?

Hello Mystic. I'm sorry its been so long since I turned to your page. I am a believer in butterflies and what they symbolize. May no butterfly of any kind be sad or held down, May they all have there wings as intended. This is beautiful and wonderful poetry. It was a pleasure turning to your page today. Thank you for sharing. May this day find you well. Enjoy the night and weekend along with poetrysoup. (smile)

If you were aiming for sad, you hit a bullseye, Rosie. Poor butterfly looks like it's in jail. Well written yet very sad.

Thank you for stopping by Daniel, no greater sadness then one of God's small creatures losing their freedom,
