Little black bird Way up high I see you there Where you going this fine day Take me with you, don't make me stay Release my mind "away" from this ho-hum day I want out of my solitude, to fly off with you Take me with you forever and a day! Fri 1,13,2012 8:30 pm

Freedom is a very good thing and a little excitement every so often. It is a risk to fly like a bird. There are predators, and they are not particularly relaxed around here. I think there must be some relaxed birds in certain environments, but not so much here. Wait, I have seen some relaxed geese recently.

I think everyone in their lives at a given point of time wishes they could fly. The feeling is so liberating. Wonderful poem, Debbie.

I love succinct poetry like this! In Druidry, the Blackbird is the keeper of the gateway! So a very fitting poem!
