Little Birdie

Little Birdie

        At early dawn solitude surrounds
Sun is about to cross the horizon
Shortly it will glow on east point in the sky.
The mother bird is flying high
           Almost reaching the clouds
Even it keeps a keen eye
On its nestling on tree top
              Resting in the nest
                Siting indolent
                   With half closed eyes.

Little birdie likes to idle, dawdle
               Being oblivious of rising Sun
It does not care at all.
               Baby waits for mother’s call.

             Red Sun comes up
Shining rays falling on the wing
           Alerts the drowsy fledgling
             Mild warmth thawed sloth
          Snappy vigor came forth
          Wings outstretching sharp

Mother bird descends with head down
        Calling, whistling making shrill sound
         Little birdie flaps its wings
        It responds with sweet chirping
           Mother and baby swooped
                        Both reached the ground.

Two come close nearest to each other
Mother puts its beak in hurry
On tender neck of cute birdie
                                     With earnest ardor

Sun feels proud to shower energy ray
Bird and chirpy birdie flew away.
